Whatever you do, keep writing! And I'm sure no matter what direction you take it, you'll manage to make it interesting and insightful and fun to read.

Well, it's the Holiday season, so maybe take a crack at fixing the Die Hard sequels?

Or more topical (and lengthly), 'fix' the MCU marvel movies. I'd be interested to see if your storytelling fixes aligned with my thoughts.

My votes were for Tech and/or Movies. I think both would be fun to read, although I find I care less and less about tech these days, tech that doesn't make physical things at least.

Also, Wile E. Coyote, Genius, does not belong in the same meme as Marx. Wile E. has brought endless joy to millions, and done it with less than 10^-5 times the verbiage of Marx. :)

I voted tech, but will read whatever you write. I get that dwelling in darkness is not ideal as much as I appreciate those posts on - have you considered exploring the opposite of the harm assistant?

Also do you have a website for dev or tech work?

Still nothing from you via email (you were going to private message me?).

I'm a huge movie buff. My friend David M Vining and I talk about movies quite a bit online. So I vote for the movie mechanic.

But I encourage you to finish your novels and, this is the important part, submit them or self publish them! I have more than a few books I've finished but just...haven't pulled the trigger on. Don't be like me :)

So we won't get to the denouement of the "Harm Assistant"?

I vote for #2 and #4. I would also like to volunteer to proofread/edit for you. Pssstt…there’s an error in the third paragraph 😀

I voted for tech, because you seem to have expertise in that field we could benefit from. It would be good to see some stuff on the bright side / silver linings of technology we may not have noticed. (I assume we're talking information technology here, not engineering, although that would be interesting too.) No interest in the movie mechanic as I don't watch movies. As for long-form fiction, I'm a fiction writer myself (science fiction) and I considered doing a Substack newsletter, but concluded after some analysis that this is not the right platform for that. Substack is for plugging into the (alternative / censored) news of the world. Fiction is for when you want to shut down the computer and escape from the world, regardless of how topical the story may be. So please do publish your books, but publish them AS books, whilst keeping this very interesting Substack going!

I'm open for anything really but voted for movies. It was between that and longform fiction. I'm one of the "voracious" readers! Merry Christmas and God bless you and your family!

I have very much appreciated where you have taken this blog, but I get the need to take a break from contemplating evil. I hope esp you don't leave us hanging too long with the Harm Assistant, though I imagine that one is the hardest to write. Listen to your wife though, good that you have such an advocate (though good writing is like walking the edge of madness.) I voted for the fiction. I imagine it will be made better for the feedback.

Dear Mark, I gave it quite some consideration but decided not to vote in the poll and here is why:

You mentioned not wanting to focus on evil so much, but all of those topics/directions seem to involve evil! So my suggestion is to write what makes you feel that you are most truly alive and creative. As spark and sparkle of the Divine, we are living, breathing creator beings, and it is both my observation and my personal feeling that using our God-given Freewill and Rights to live fully in that capacity is the best focus of our hearts, minds, and bodies. I find that it is also the best way to be OUT OF the Matrix while rejuvenating for the moments when we have to go INTO the Matrix. In this way — because WE are the power that the anti-Life fuckers seek — we cancel out their fuckery. 💖

Tech and fiction for me!

(but also appreciate the shout outs you've made in my direction as well).
